*TopQuadrant has just released its latest version (3.2.2) of its TopRate Suite platform. This is an extension of the original set of products from TopQuadrant, built on the ontology development engine created by Holger Knublauch.

*TopQuadrant is focused on the creation of dynamic business applications that allow users to create mashups of diverse data sources to produce highly interactive research tools. These tools allow analytical specialists to develop their own tools, using graphical interfaces that produce SPARQL queries that can be saved and shared.

*The increased population of younger professionals who are accustomed to highly interactive computer services in their games and social networking products, are driving the adoption of services that require semantic services in the enterprise.

Robert points out that if not for the recent economic downturn that has slowed the adoption of semantics in enterprise environments, it’s likely that there would already be several more significant implementations of semantic technology in enterprise environments.
