Healthways Partners with Roundarch to Explore Emerging Technologies

Healthways has announced “the introduction of significant new online and mobile capabilities for the Company’s industry-leading Embrace(TM) 5.0 platform. The result of a year-long development effort with Roundarch, Well-Being Connect(TM) and wellbeingGo(TM) will begin being rolled out for existing Embrace users later this month. As a result of the successful development effort, the Company also announced it has entered into a five-year, $50 million strategic agreement with Roundarch. Under the terms of the agreement, the partnership will be responsible for collaborative design, and Roundarch will be responsible for the development, testing, deployment, maintenance and operations for both current and future versions of web, mobile and social applications for Embrace.”

The article adds, “In addition to providing Healthways with its award-winning strategy, design and implementation capabilities, Roundarch will commit the resources of the Roundarch Labs to continuous innovation in the application of digital technology to Healthways Well-Being Improvement Solution. Roundarch Labs is dedicated to exploring emerging technologies — such as wearable computers, gaming interfaces and mobile applications — and new technology standards, such as HTML 5 and the semantic web. The long-term relationship with Healthways will allow Roundarch to dedicate more resources to exploring these technologies and how they relate to the health care sector generally and to Healthways value proposition specifically.”
