Narus Honored with Three Global Excellence Awards

Narus, Inc., a leader in big data analytics for cybersecurity solutions, today announced it has been honored with three awards from Info Security Products Guide‘s 2013 Global Excellence Awards. Narus Chief Technology Officer Dr. Antonio Nucci won the “CTO of the Year” award, and was a Gold winner in the “People Shaping Info Security” category. The company was also presented with a Bronze Award for its Narus nSystem cybersecurity solution in the “Security Products and Solutions for Government” category. This recognition reaffirms Narus’ position as an industry thought leader and pioneer in cybersecurity technology.
With the “CTO of the Year” and “People Shaping Info Security” awards, Dr. Nucci was recognized for his extensive contribution and work in the industry. In his role as CTO at Narus, Dr. Nucci is responsible for setting the company’s direction with respect to technology and innovation in Cyber 3.0. He also oversees the entire technology innovation life cycle, including incubation, research and prototyping. In his more than 15 years as a technology leader, Dr. Nucci has published more than 100 technical papers and has been awarded 38 U.S. patents. He also authored a book on advanced network analytics entitled Design, Measurement and Management of Large‐Scale IP Networks: Bridging the Gap Between Theory and Practice in 2009.
Narus nSystem solution won the Bronze Award in the “Security Products and Solutions for Government” category. More than 50 judges comprising industry experts from around the world evaluated the contestants, and the judges’ average scores determined the 2013 Global Excellence Awards finalists and winners. Winners were announced during an awards dinner and presentation on February 27, 2013 in San Francisco, which was attended by the finalists, judges and industry peers.
