According to the post, “The Knowledge Management Practice at Cray is developing solutions to meet the growing demand of large scale data analysis and mining. We are developing innovative solutions to meet the demands of next generation big data analysis. We have openings for a senior semantic applications developer for building the web 3.0 data mining application stack. The developer will be responsible for  the developing database application software stack.  This position entails: Developing, porting, testing and benchmarking the web 3.0 database application software. Building and maintaining working relationships with technical counterparts at the ISVs, partners, and customers. Sound understanding and experience with RDF.”

Qualifications for the position include: “10+ years of experience. Proficiency in the following: C, C++, multithreading programming, Java, Linux, shell programming, Semantic databases, web 3.0 applications stack. Analytical problem solving ability. A thorough understanding of vertical informatics applications and databases. Experience developing, debugging, maintaining, supporting, and using application software. Experience supporting and collaborating with external partners. Experience optimizing application software. Building commercial quality software. Knowledge of Rules Languages such as OWL-RL, Jena Rules or Pellet. Experience working with Semantic Web Reasoners such as Pellet, Racer Pro, SPIN, etc. Experience working with Linked Data and firm understanding of Linked Data principles.”
