According to the post, “The Sr. Software Engineer will be joining a team in the organization accountable for the execution of Smart Content projects involving Semantics and Linked Data in a Big Data environment. The scope of responsibility includes the following: Interfaces with internal customers to gather requirements and provide recommendations on complex technical tasks. Implements, maintains and supports application software. Independently performs analysis to develop and implement high level designs for assigned projects. Remains current on industry standards and advances within area of expertise. Diagnoses complex system problems and system performance problems using available standard performance tools.”

Qualifications include: “Experience with MVC frameworks (e.g. Spring MVC). Java web developer skills (Servlets, JSPs, JNDI, XML config). Deep understanding of XML including knowledge of SAX, DOM, XSLT, XML, and XML editors. Web 2.0 technologies including AJAX, Javascript, HTML, CSS. Query languages and standards such as SQL, XPath, XQuery, SPARQL. NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or HBase. Big Data and MapReduce technologies such as Hadoop. Cloud computing environments such as Amazon and Rackspace a plus. Semantic technologies including linked data concepts, RDF, taxonomies, ontologies, text mining, and semantic search a plus.”
