Harvard Medical School is looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Boston, MA. The post states, “Reporting to the Director of Informatics Technology, this position will be responsible for developing innovative software tools, applications, services, and databases that are mission critical to the success of the Center for Biomedical Informatics (CBMI) and the Countway Library at Harvard Medical School. The person in this position will be a senior contributor for many different informatics projects that advance CBMI research and Countway efforts across Harvard. The person in this position will work with directors and informatics leadership in order to design, code and deploy tools that will be used across the Harvard research community.”

It continues, “Specific technologies used will include Tomcat, Java, MySQL, XML, Semantic Web, RDF and ontologies. The senior software engineer will contribute to all tiers of our development but will be geared more towards the service and database tiers. This person will work with a variety of teams and projects and will be expected to take a leadership role in helping to analyze requirements, develop designs, manage priorities, and perform unit tests and support ongoing QA efforts.”
