According to the post, “We are looking for dynamic individuals who are interested in working within a healthcare environment with an emphasis on technology. As part of a team under close supervision, Interns will assist in performing a variety of developmental assignments and learn new business tools.  In addition, you will participate in enrichment activities for your professional development. In this Internship position, you will work within IT Consulting and Analytics, an internal consulting group at Kaiser Permanente focused on building product management capabilities within Kaiser Permanente’s IT department.”

Qualifications for the position include the following: “A current student in a MA, MS, or PhD program at an accredited university. Ability to articulate complex technical and terminological concepts to clinical and technical audiences. Strong analysis skills. Knowledge of and some experience with RDF, OWL, SPARQL, SQL, SNOMED CT, and  MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is desirable. Exceptional written and verbal communications skills with the ability to construct a wide variety of well-written business communications and present to various levels of management in large group or one-on-one settings. Ability to influence clinical decision makers to achieve consensus among multiple stakeholder viewpoints. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.”
