According to the post, this position is “Responsible for the overall design of the enterprise information architecture, across all data types (structured, semi structured and unstructured), balancing the need for access against security and performance requirements. This individual focuses primarily on enterprise business information requirements: design, access, usage and stewardship. The position also requires an understanding of emerging regulatory issues surrounding information assets (such as eDiscovery, consumer privacy laws, data retention policies, outsourced data and specific industry guidelines – especially in healthcare). Development of internal and external checks and controls to ensure proper governance, security and quality of information assets.”

Qualifications include the following: “Demonstrated experience in identifying information opportunities and driving significant direct business value, leveraging EIM practices within a multi-billion dollar corporation. Demonstrated experience in transforming and growing EIM capabilities across an organization within a multi-billion dollar corporation. Knowledgeable in the design and construction of information architectures that enable well-integrated transactional, collaborative and analytical systems. Data/information modeling expertise at the enterprise level. Understanding of common information architecture frameworks (such as  TOGAF and FEAF). Understanding of differences between relational modeling and object modeling. Understanding of taxonomies and ontologies, as well as the challenges of applying structured techniques (data modeling) to less structured sources. Understanding of metamodels and the implementation of these models. Knowledge of problem analysis, structured analysis, and design and programming techniques.”
