The Mitre Corporation is looking for a Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer in McLean, VA. According to the post, “This position supports projects with technical solutions requiring knowledge representation, ontology engineering, knowledge management, Semantic Web technologies, and related technical disciplines (e.g., data modeling, object modeling, enterprise modeling). Primary duties include: (1) Developing timely and usable solutions to complex problems using ontology-related technologies and applications. (2) Developing coherent models from “loose” concepts through knowledge elicitation of SMEs, CoPs and CoIs coupled with independent research. (3) Collaborative model review and revision in which community consensus-building is critical to long-term success.”

Qualifications include the following: “4+ years experience in semantic modeling techniques and applicable technologies (OWL, RDF). 4+ years experience translating subject matter expertise into technical models and defending modeling decisions to a heterogeneous cross-domain community. Experience implementing semantic technologies in a SOA environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to excel in a distributed environment and adapt to changing requirements. 5 + years customer-facing experience supporting large projects for US government agencies, military services, COCOMs, and international partners. Knowledge of object-oriented and relational modeling methodologies (UML, E-R).”
