Northrop Grumman is looking for a GCCS Data Architect 5 in Newport News, VA. The post states, “As a data architecture subject matter expert, the candidate will perform a variety of functions, to include: specification of net-centric data interfaces, research and development of data provisioning and access methods for distributed private cloud environments, prescription of virtual database technologies for the Joint Global Command & Control System (GCCS), perform enterprise architecture modeling using various frameworks and modeling languages (DoDAF, SysML, UML), lead cross program data architecture teams to define future data architectures for the GCCS family of systems, and evaluation and specification of database and message schemas.”
Qualifications for the position include: “Extensive knowledge of RDBMS technologies to include the major DBMS Products such as Oracle, SQLServer, PostGresSQL and MySQL. Experience for both development and support (DBA expertise) efforts for military and commercial projects. Familiar with SOA (e.g., Web Services), industry data standards (e.g., GML), and DoD standards (e.g., DDMS, MilStd 2525). Experience with all SDLC processes to include systems analysis/design, development, test and sustainment processes for large military and commercial enterprise systems. Experience with designing and developing SOA architectures and a deep understanding of SOA methodologies and standards. Experience with object-relational mapping tools and technologies, such as iBatis, TopLink, and Hibernate. Experience with semantic-based technologies to include RDF-tuple data stores and frameworks like Sesame, Jena java Framework and Joseki SPARQL Server for storing/querying RDF-tuple information in an RDBMS.”
