SAIC is looking for a Computer Engineering Intern in Arlington, VA. The post states, “SAIC is seeking a Computer Engineering Intern to join our team in Arlington, VA. The intern will have duties that include developing software for scientific applications. The candidate will assist on a program that aims to develop the network services and transport architectures to enable efficient, transparent distribution of content in mobile ad hoc network environments. In particular, the candidate will support development and implement algorithms that model the interest and behavior of mobile nodes. These models are used to improve data caching and anomaly detection.”

Qualifications for the position include the following: “US citizenship is required to work on this program. Currently hold a BS degree in CS or equivalent and working toward an advanced degree. Proficiency in Java programming under Linux OS, experience with C/C++ a plus. Computer networking background, experience with MANET, Haggle, Android application development a plus. Machine learning methods background, experience with RDF and OWL a plus. Candidate must have experience in software programming. Classroom programming experience is acceptable.”
