According to the post, “The Software Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, developing, and maintaining multi-user web-enabled database-driven applications for in-house clinical, research, educational, and administrative activities. Ensures understanding of clinical laboratory workflows and will work under the guidance of the director of pathology informatics to effectively enable clinical work and research discovery by renowned leaders in their scientific and medical fields.”

Qualifications for the position include: “Ability to develop secure, reliable, scalable applications. Knowledge of and experience in software development using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, XML, C, C++, Qt, Matlab. Sufficient experience to maintain existing applications built using Java, JDBC and JSP, and to extend their functionality as needed. Experience in writing multi-threaded highly concurrent code utilizing Matlab, OpenMP, CUDA, C++ AMP, MPI, or GPGPU. Experience in writing effective stored procedures and readiness to write stored procedures in Sybase, MS SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL databases. Proficiency with generating optimal data structures and with physical and logical database design. Understanding of XML, XSL, RDF, Web Ontology Language (OWL) and being comfortable with Windows, Linux, Unix, OSX, iOS.”
