Weill Cornell Medical School is looking for a Web Developer in New York, NY. The post states, “Under direction of the Assistant Director, Research and Digital Services (WCMC Library) and the Manager, Core Applications and Associate Director of Design & Development (ITS), serve as a Developer for systems in support of the Samuel J. Wood Library & C.V. Starr Biomedical Information Center. The Web Developer will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and integration of library applications at WCMC, as well as responsibilities in the operation and maintenance of related systems and applications.”

Qualifications for the position include: “Two (2) years minimum working experience in related field. Candidate must have strong knowledge of and demonstrable experience with HTML, JavaScript, and PHP. Candidate must be knowledgeable of system development lifecycle methodologies needed to support the integration of software applications into a service-oriented architecture. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required. Must have the ability to gain knowledge of and master new technologies quickly and thoroughly. Must be able to work in a team setting and establish strong working relationships with colleagues, partners, and clients. Experience working with LDAP, Active Directory, MySQL, and content management systems is desired. Familiarity with XML, RDF, SPARQL and OWL is preferred.”
