The W3C Publishes Working Drafts on RDFa

We recently reported on the W3C’s progress with regards to RDF2. Since then the W3C has also announced that “The RDF Web Applications Working Group has published a new Working Draft of the RDFa API. This document specifies an API to access the RDF data embedded in an HTML or XHTML page using RDFa. The Working Group also published a First Public Working Draft of the RDFa 1.1 Primer; this is an updated version of the RDFa Primer that has been adapted to the features of RDFa Core 1.1 specification.” Read more

W3C Announces its Last Call Working Draft of Ontology for Media Resources 1.0

The W3C announced yesterday that it has published a last call working draft of “Ontology for Media Resources 1.0.” The draft was published by the Media Annotations Working Group. Comments are welcome on the draft through March 31, 2011.

According to the announcement, “This ontology (vocabulary) bridges the different descriptions of media resources, and provides a core set of descriptive properties. This document defines a core set of metadata properties for media resources, along with their mappings to elements from a set of existing metadata formats. Read more
