Time Inc. is looking for a Search & Semantic Web Manager in New York City: “The Search and Taxonomy Manager will lead a team of developers and taxonomy specialists in improving the findability on Time Inc. websites. Technologies such as Java, Endeca are used in internal site search for 14 of our websites. Jena, Sesame and RDF databases are used to run our semantic web taxonomies and ontologies.” Key responsibilities of the position include, “Manage relationships with the web product managers, QA , infrastructure and operations teams. Oversee all planning, design, application development and testing activities. Provide consultative leadership in areas such as site search best practices, taxonomy applications, semantic inferencing and content management.
