We’re Changing our Look

You’ll noitice that Semantic Universe looks different today than it did yesterday.  That’s because we’ve moved to a new publishing template – one of the OpenPublish formats developed by OpenCalais and Phase 2 Technologies.  We’ve done this for two main reasons:

1) Our previous layout wasn’t quite suiting our editorial objectives as we wanted. this layout gives us more flexibility with home page layout, incorporation of video, and previewing of news items, for example.

2) We’re moving all of our publishing sites to Drupal (one of our sister publications is "Enterprise Data World") so we can standardize our internal publishing processes around one platform, and so that we can be "more semantic" across all of our sites.  We like what the Drupal community is doing to incorporate semantic technologies into the platform and so it was clear to us that this was a good long-term choice.

Having said that, we’re still tweaking the design, so you’ll probably see a few more changes ovet the next week.  Hopefully you’ll like the result though, and Semantic Universe will be easier to read and navigate in future.

As always, I welcome any feedback you’d like to offer.
